Legal Research Associate

As a key member of our team, you will engage in legal and policy analysis, research, drafting and stakeholder engagement. Our team of skilled legal thinkers, researchers and drafters are looking for a collaborative and organized individual to assist us in conducting law reform inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-depth legal and policy research on key issues involved in the inquiry.
- Identify relevant stakeholders for the inquiry through thorough research.
- Schedule and organize consultation meetings with identified stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
- Coordinate and participate in consultation meetings, taking comprehensive notes on key discussions and outcomes.
- Contribute to chapters for consultation documents and final reports, analyzing and summarizing submissions from stakeholders.
- Develop proposals and recommendations for reform, based on thorough analysis and research.
- Attend ALRC Advisory Committee meetings, recording minutes as required and contributing to key discussions.
- Support corporate compliance activities, including FOI requests and drafting content for the Annual Report and Corporate Plan.
- Contribute to the development of the ALRC's communications strategies by drafting engaging content and providing innovative ideas and initiatives.
