As a key member of our network infrastructure development team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing large-scale telecommunications projects across Australia.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic role that involves producing detailed designs for fibre optic projects of varying sizes, complexities, and locations. You will work closely with construction managers and project planners to conceptualise fibre optic construction projects that meet strategic objectives and customer requirements. Your expertise will be required to investigate and plan potential projects, balancing technical project requirements with civil construction methodology options.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Producing project drafts, drawings, and proposals that are commercially viable
  • Investigating and planning potential projects, balancing technical project requirements with civil construction methodology options
  • Working closely with construction managers and project planners to conceptualise fibre optic construction projects

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and comfort using design software including AutoCad & Visio
  • Knowledge and experience with construction methodologies
  • Experience designing construction routes in the telecommunications industry (similar underground construction industries like Power or Pipelines considered)
