About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Specialist to support and develop operational security requirements across multiple campuses in CDC. The successful candidate will be accountable for maintaining the physical security of critical infrastructure facilities and will work as part of a close-knit team delivering outstanding service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Manager, Security Operations in creating, updating and reviewing Operational Security policies and procedures.
  • Lead physical security and business continuity rollouts (including compliance programs) at assigned campuses.
  • Maintain liaison with the Security Governance team and support new security initiatives and rollouts at a site level.
  • Participate with cross-functional teams and site facility management teams to review operational security processes within CDC Data Centres, refine or suggest continuous improvement and support implementation of changes.
  • Contribute to process improvement projects and lead security-related tasks within cross-functional projects.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor project steps from start to completion (e.g. set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarise progress of project, conduct meetings).
  • Analyse day-to-day performance against security operations KPIs and propose improvement recommendations to standardise/improve processes to the Manager, Security Operations.
  • Provide day-to-day support to multiple data centres and serve as the point of contact for Operations Security.
  • Support customer audits, RFPs and RFIs – where pertaining to site-specific Operational Security questions.
  • Address assigned audit findings and track them to closure.
  • Compile and prepare security-related metrics and data for management reporting.
  • Continually engage with electronic and physical security vendors.
About You

We are looking for someone with experience in complex security operations and managing large security infrastructures. A deep understanding of operating security technologies and reviewing security processes is essential. You should also have sound knowledge of key stakeholder requirements and the ability to communicate effectively in multiple channels.

A strong people and relationship management skills with the ability to work in a positive team environment is required. Relevant certifications such as Certificate II/III in Security Operations, ISO27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISSP/CISM/CISA or Diploma in Risk Management are highly preferred.

Requirements

Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain AGSVA Security Clearance at Negative Vetting 1 level are essential.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
