Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cost plans and project capital estimates through the design phase, delivering updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
  • Prepare cost reports and estimate packages, and regularly present to stakeholders.
  • Provide commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
  • Delivering quality work and positioning for new opportunities
  • Work proactively with minimal supervision
  • Conduct site visits and monitor project progress.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project costs and variations.
  • Develop and maintain cost models and estimates.
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost risks.

Requirements

  • With Defence clearance or Australian Citizenship as minimum
  • Quantity Surveying, or related, degree
  • > 5 years' experience
  • AIQS or RICS member is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience in CostX is preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Experience preparing Cost Management estimates and reports.
  • Experience with advising clients on value management, and value engineering.
  • Experience with key aspects of business development.
  • Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, and be a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Drive to be proactive and self-motivated.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams.
  • Leadership skills, ability to manage juniors in team
