Job Description

The role of Wine Operations Manager involves overseeing the strategic planning, implementation and management of winery operations. This includes developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure best practices in wine production, site maintenance, cleaning management programs, and safety protocols.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our wines meet end-use quality specifications through industry best practice of winery processes. You will also coordinate and manage all winery operations, including planning, scheduling and monitoring the work of staff and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an annual winery management plan to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage all winery operations to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and conditions for all staff and contractors as per WH&S regulations and our Safety Policies and Procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent planning and organizational skills, be able to quickly establish meaningful networks both internally and externally, and have a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Minimum 10 years experience gained within a structured work environment where good process and competent management have demonstrated high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to interpret analytical and financial data/reports.
  • Negotiation skills with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Technical and practical approach to managing a winery and a deep interest in delivering process efficiencies.
  • Drivers Licence.
