Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

Are you a skilled engineering leader looking to take your career to the next level? We're seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead to join our team and drive the development of our flagship product, PatentSight+.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and collaborative individual to lead our software engineering team. As a Software Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for modernising and enhancing the application platform for PatentSight+, which enables core IP activities such as competitive intelligence and benchmarking, portfolio optimisation, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate performance-optimisation considerations into development work throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Assist in requirements gathering, decomposition, and implementation of new features, such as a Sharing Service, Smart Search Engine, and User Data Manager.
  • Communicate and take ownership within the team and across team boundaries.
  • Help build AWS platform infrastructure with CDK, including NodeJS/Python Lambdas.
  • Assist in refactoring the existing application.
  • Write and review detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
  • Lead in development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
  • Operate in a Scrum-based development environment while collaborating with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience working with React or Angular.
  • Experience with C#, SQL, and .Net Core Entity Framework.
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud providers, including knowledge on running cost-effective serverless architecture.
  • Understand Software Engineering techniques and processes, particularly adapting Scrum and agile frameworks to meet business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience.
  • Desirable experience with Python, JavaScript, Azure Pipelines, GraphQL, or similar API schemas.
