Support Liaison

The Challenge Community Services team is seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our Community Supports Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with disabilities, focusing on skill development and enriching their lives through engaging and creative activities.
This role may involve providing in-home support for clients, which could require working afternoon and night shifts. You will work collaboratively with clients to develop skills through activities such as cooking, music, crafts, leisure sports, reading, singing, and more.

- You are resilient and self-assured, able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- You are skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
- You are flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
- You hold a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- You can pass a National Criminal History Check.
- You have full COVID vaccination status.
- You have experience working with high-needs Disability clients.
- A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent is desirable.
- A demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes is desirable.
- Handy craft skills, such as sewing, knitting, or crocheting, are desirable.
- You will be offered Schad's Award Level 2 pay rates based on experience and qualifications.
- You will have access to salary packaging options, including an Entertainment/Meal Card, allowing you to use up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income per year (if eligible).
- You will have flexible working hours on a fortnightly roster.
- You will have negotiated extra leave, allowing you to buy EXTRA annual leave that you can take or get paid out as a saving incentive (if eligible).
