We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandise Planning Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the success of our business by effectively managing inventory, analysing sales data, and developing strategic merchandise plans.

As a key member of our merchandising team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive merchandise plans that support sales, margin, and inventory goals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and other planning tools. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans in collaboration with the Buying team to support sales, margin, and inventory goals.
  • Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and product performance to forecast demand and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment, markdowns, and promotions to maximize sell-through and minimize excess stock.
  • Partner with the Buying team to plan and execute product assortments that align with customer preferences, brand strategy, and financial objectives.
  • Conduct regular sales and inventory analysis to identify risks and opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize assortment and pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of merchandise plans and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present merchandise plans, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

You Will Be Expected To Possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, retail buying, or inventory management, preferably within the fashion industry.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and other planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence decision-making.
  • Proven track record of driving results through strategic planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends.
