Merchandise Planning Role Overview

The Senior Merchandise Planner position at our organisation is an exciting opportunity to lead the planning function and drive strategic initiatives.

As a senior-level professional, you will be responsible for developing and managing merchandise strategies, providing expertise to underpin cross-functional decision-making, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading the planning function to deliver exceptional results
  • Developing and executing seasonal plans, inventory management, and OTB management
  • Collaborating with buying and design teams to drive strategic initiatives and influence key stakeholders
  • Overseeing the preparation of trade packs and presentations
  • Ownership of weekly trade actions and development of company-wide promotional plans
  • Developing pricing models, markdown budgets, and core inventory planning management

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in merchandise planning or a related field
  • Knowledge of SQL and BigQuery is advantageous but not essential
