About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Caterpillar. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing world-class customer service for our Mine Star hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Mine Star products
  • Create strong relationships with customers and dealers in your region
  • Provide rotational hotline coverage for Mine Star Products
  • Restore site services, resolve issues, and escalate to advanced support when needed
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the entire ecosystem, from simple sensors to onboard control units, network diagnosis, application server, and database issues
Requirements
  • Technical Diploma or Certificates required
  • Windows technical knowledge
  • 2+ years of experience investigating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing application and technical problems
  • Process-driven with an analytical mindset
  • Customer support experience, such as in a call centre or helpdesk environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to learn complex software and hardware interactions
  • Mining industry experience
  • Moderate level of knowledge in information technologies
  • Experience in Virtualization, Basic TCP/IP Networking, Database fundamentals
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering experience
