About the Role
The Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Liturgy and Mission Coordinator. This position plays a vital role in fostering the religious and spiritual life of the College community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the spiritual life and spiritual development of the school community.
- Collaboratively develop, facilitate and promote Christ-centered faith formation, prayer and liturgical experiences and opportunities for staff, students, and parents ensuring respect, dignity and engagement.
- Articulate the College Vision through opportunities appropriate to this role such as campus and whole College Masses, assemblies, staff meetings, information evenings, the Newsletter, liturgies and other celebrations.
- Build the capacity of staff to animate the Religious Life of the School.
- In the spirit of Mary MacKillop, collaboratively develop, facilitate and promote the school's Catholic social justice and Catholic charitable works initiatives, including establishing relationships with service organisations beyond the school.
- Encourage the continuing personal, spiritual, and professional development of staff.
- Build the capacity of teachers and support colleagues to embed Catholic perspectives across all subject areas.
- Continue to develop appropriate ways for the recognition and honouring of faith diversity within our community
- Embed collaborative practices in the school, implementing professional dialogue within the school that is informed by feedback, analysis of current research and practice to improve the Religious Life of the School.
- Ensure the integration of the spiritual development of students in pastoral care policies.
- Work closely with priests and the parish community to foster strong relationships with all parish agencies.
Qualifications
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC)registration.
- Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
- Must have completed, be due to complete or a willingness to complete Accreditation D and E, according to the Accreditation to work, teach and lead in a Catholic School Policy.
Selection Criteria
- Clearly articulate the aims of Catholic education and the evangelising mission of Catholic schools.
- Lead and build capacity of staff to animate the Religious Life of the School.
- Lead and build capacity of staff to provide Christ-centered faith formation, prayer, and liturgical experiences.
- Collaboratively develop, facilitate and promote student and staff retreat programs, including the Staff Spirituality Day.
- Evaluate, analyse, and use data to inform future strategic planning in the Religious Life of the School.
- Effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders to build strong relationships
- Collaboratively develop, facilitate and promote the school's Catholic social justice, charitable works, and outreach initiatives.
Other Eligibility Criteria
- You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
- Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
