Academic Position

We are seeking a highly motivated academic to join our team as a lecturer/senior lecturer.

As a lecturer, you will be responsible for providing clinical teaching and education leadership on the St George Hospital campus. You will also contribute to curriculum development and coordination across campuses.

As a senior lecturer, you will conduct high-quality research and contribute to educational excellence in the School and Faculty.

  • Develop scholarly research and professional activities nationally and internationally.
  • Contribute to the teaching and service missions of the School and Faculty.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support undergraduate and postgraduate education in Critical Care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical teaching and education leadership on the St George Hospital campus.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and coordination across campuses.
  • Develop scholarly research and professional activities nationally and internationally.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support undergraduate and postgraduate education in Critical Care.
Requirements
  • PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
  • Medical qualification registerable in NSW and specialist training preferably in a Critical Care field.
  • Commitment to ongoing discipline knowledge updates and developments.
  • Experience in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
  • Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and curriculum development experience.
  • Knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning desirable.
  • Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and support equity diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Strong research track record with high-quality outcomes and leadership potential.
  • Active involvement with the profession or industry.
  • Excellent communication networking and interpersonal skills ability to work in a team and across disciplines.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
