About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Maternal Child Youth Health team at North West Hospital and Health Service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team that actively contributes to patient safety by following policies, procedures, and protocols of the North West Hospital and Health Service.
  • Provide a range of Maternal, Child Youth Health services to individuals, groups, and community members, including health promotion, clinical assessment, immunisation, group presentations on health, milestone, sleep settling, and breast-feeding topics.
  • Manage and support continued improvement of health services by always participating in quality improvement opportunities.
  • Excel in patient safety by active contribution to a framework of sound clinical governance.

Requirements:

  • Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse and possession of a current annual practising certificate.
  • Tertiary qualification in leadership or management or working towards a relevant qualification is highly regarded.
  • Qualifications in Child Health and Immunisations are required.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a C Class Driver's Licence.
  • The role may include the need for travel either by air or road to remote sites within NWHHS as required and may be a day trip or extended over several days.

  • Base salary ranges between $ and $ p.a. (Nurse Grade 7).
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
  • Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
  • In your downtime, we offer 4 weeks p.a. recreational leave with a 17.5% loading/bonus.
