We are a leading Australian law firm with 130 partners and over 700 staff nationally. Our clients include ASX200 listed companies, mid-sized corporates, the public sector, and not-for-profit organizations.
The Role
As a Social Impact Associate, you will work closely with a Partner on complex matters including:
- Drafting letters of advice and submissions;
- Arranging tax endorsements;
- Providing corporate governance advice;
- Advising on fundraising issues;
- Dealing with internal disputes;
- Drafting constitutions;
- Acting on mergers.
This role provides technical expertise to charities and NFPs. It's not a pro bono position.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for drafting legal documents, providing advice on tax and corporate governance, and advising on fundraising issues. You will also be working closely with our Partner to develop strategies and solutions for our clients.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience in Not-For-Profit, Corporate, or Tax law from a national or international firm. Ideal candidates have strong written and verbal communication skills, a 'can-do' attitude, and a passion for NFP and charity law.
