About Our Role
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of consumers/patients with various conditions.
This role involves providing expert clinical knowledge and care, education, leadership, and portfolio management. The successful candidate will support the general function of the unit through role modelling and application of principles of evidence-based, consumer/patient-focused care.
The ideal candidate will have advanced clinical nursing skills, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They will also be able to apply their skills to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform duties according to Schedule 2, Nurses, and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - GLS Nurse Grade 6 Band 1, and adhere to Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values to achieve organizational goals and practice domains.
- Practice ethically and professionally, complying with relevant standards and legislation, maintaining current knowledge within the scope of practice.
- Apply advanced clinical nursing skills to deliver high-quality care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Respond effectively to sudden changes in patient health status, providing support and direction using advanced assessment and intervention skills.
