Clinical Nurse Specialist Medical/Surgical

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver high-quality care to our patients in a medical/surgical setting.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, promoting evidence-based practice, and improving patient outcomes.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. You will also contribute to the development of policies and procedures, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and engage in ongoing education and professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in acute care nursing, including significant experience in a medical or surgical ward
  • Proven advanced clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support nursing staff
