Lead Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Consultant to join our Grid Technologies division at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the energy landscape and driving innovation in power infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consulting within the energy sector, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. You will be responsible for providing strategic advice on the application of latest technologies to customers, guiding them through their transition into new markets, and developing strategies to help them successfully navigate the challenges and opportunities associated with new technologies and markets.

In this role, you will also be responsible for reviewing and analyzing customer RfI / RfP documents, driving the bid decision in alignment with the business development and sales teams, and providing expert advice on pricing strategies, risk evaluation, and value proposition development.

You will work closely with our regional Grid Technologies Sales head, Siemens Energy Hub management, and Business Development Functions to drive the performance of the regional business development effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree in electrical power engineering, relevant professional experience in consulting within the energy sector, and a demonstrated successful track record of a consulting project portfolio.

Advanced knowledge and experience in transmission planning and operational studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system performance analyses including steady state analysis, dynamic stability, voltage stability, protection coordination, and control system are essential.

Additionally, you should have a deep understanding of ISO new resource application approval processes and grid planning considerations, as well as relevant experience working and communicating with ISO, RTOs, utilities, and developers.

A salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year is expected based on your experience and qualifications, depending on your location in Australia.
