Embark on a challenging role as a Strategic Planning Lead with Aspect Personnel. Based 2 hours north of Melbourne, this 12-month contract offers an opportunity to take a lead role within the Planning department of a municipality.

  • Fully remote or hybrid work arrangement, with 3 days in office and 2 days from home.
  • $70-$80 per hour plus superannuation benefits.
  • Band 7 position with strong technical skills required.
About the Role

This is an exceptional chance for experienced Planners to drive strategic planning projects forward, formalizing and implementing new growth fronts into the Planning Scheme.

  • Lead the preparation of local structure plans, PSP's, DCP's, development plans, development guidelines, studies, and other strategic and statutory plans of Council.
  • Develop ongoing relationships with community stakeholders, industry, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, sound judgement, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality strategic planning projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Promote community awareness and participation in strategic planning policies.
  • Represent Council at tribunals, hearings, and public meetings.

  • Strong technical skills and experience in planning policy development.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent Council effectively.
