Oncology Cancer Care Specialist

An Oncology Pharmacist plays a pivotal role in delivering remote oncology services to patients at public hospital outpatient clinics.
This position involves coordinating and organising the supply of cancer therapy for hospital inpatients and day oncology unit patients, developing clinical skills to improve outcomes for cancer patients, and contributing to multidisciplinary teams.
- Clinical coordination and organisation of cancer therapy supplies.
- Development and utilisation of clinical skills to improve patient outcomes.
- Perform medication chart reviews and reconcile medications as needed.
- Record interventions and contribute to team efforts.
- Build relationships with healthcare professionals and educate staff, patients, and allied health professionals as required.
The Oncology Pharmacist is responsible for:
- Coordinating the delivery of cancer therapy supplies to hospital inpatients and day oncology unit patients.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes through clinical skill development and application.
- Conducting medication chart reviews and reconciling medications where necessary.
- Documenting interventions and contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Building effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams and educating others as required.
