The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Center Technician. As a Data Center Technician, you will stage, set up and perform hardware deployments, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures. You will also be responsible for communicating, reporting, and escalating incidents to appropriate management units and engineering specialists.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying the cause(s) of issues and replacing faulty components with minimal customer and business disruption.
- Verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, report incidents, and escalate to management as needed.
- Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks.
Requirements
- A minimum Baseline security clearance
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components AND 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Applicable certifications: CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)

Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
