Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at PowerData Group Consulting in ACT. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for implementing, managing and retiring the infrastructure that supports our digital services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation, configuration and sustainment of Linux based ICT infrastructure, including servers and/or network devices.
  • Use automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible and others to prepare and replicate system builds.
  • Configure and sustain core services for systems, including monitoring, syslog or authentication.
  • Maintain reliability of ICT infrastructure, including configuration automation, upgrading and patching, monitoring; along with utilising version control systems.
  • Communicate with diverse stakeholder groups in technical and business process terms.
  • Maintain technical documentation in accordance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of software implementation procedures, including contingency plans.
  • Monitor operational systems for usage and failure rates, resolving issues as they arise.

  • IT infrastructure: Level 4 (SFIA)
  • Problem management: Level 3 (SFIA)
  • Programming/software development: Level 2 (SFIA)
  • Systems design: Level 4 (SFIA)
  • Systems installation and removal: Level 4 (SFIA)
Technical Skills
  • Ajax technologies; Apache NIFI; Atlassian software; application management software and tools

About the Role
