The Role

The Responsive Maintenance Officer will play a pivotal role in assessing our properties, ensuring that they are safe, well maintained, and compliant with all relevant regulations and requirements.

You will focus on responsive maintenance and vacant maintenance of our properties, reporting on their findings and ensuring that the lifecycle of each component is taken into account.

Working within set timeframes and budgets will be an important aspect of this role, and you will need to ensure that all works completed comply with quality assurance standards.

You will be liaising regularly with internal and external stakeholders, building and sustaining positive relationships with technical consultants and contractors, and responding to their needs in a timely manner.

This is a full-time, fixed-term role with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Essential Criteria:

  • An understanding and appreciation of the importance of responsive and efficient asset management for the community.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
  • Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders, including vulnerable people.
  • Previous experience working on MS Office programs, including Excel.
  • Ability to compose professional correspondence via email to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge and application of WHS practices.
  • Certificate IV or above in a relevant trade, ideally Building and/or Carpentry.
  • Green/White WHS Construction Induction Card (or ability to obtain).
  • A current driver's licence.
