Master V Opportunity

About the Job

This role is for a seasoned Master V with 3 years' experience in a similar position. You will be responsible for leading and motivating a navigation and engineering team, driving training and development for all team members, and identifying and initiating training opportunities.

You must hold a Master V (MED II) as well as Senior First Aid and Advanced First Responder qualifications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and cooperatively are essential.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the navigation and engineering team
  • Drive training and development for all team members
  • Identify and initiate training opportunities and performance
  • Manage and develop all Master logs and systems
  • Promote, assess, and participate in workplace health and safety practices
  • Aid in management of incidents and emergencies
  • Contribute to the overall internal audit program
  • Coordinate with the workshop in relation to maintenance tasks
  • Coordinate refueling and hull scrubbing schedules
