Job Summary

DynaFire is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the installation, inspection, and repair of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, install, and repair fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
  • Test, rebuild, and replace backflow preventors as needed.
  • Identify trouble areas and perform service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure fire sprinkler systems are operating properly.
  • Receive, distribute, lay-out, and install all materials related to fire sprinkler system installation, per engineered drawings and job specifications.
  • Install and service underground pipe, including private service fire mains, hydrants, pits, and underground control valves.
  • Install all types of valves, devices, and trim for system risers, alarm valves, dry pipe valves, pre-action and deluge valves, including backflow prevention devices.
  • Lay-out, mark, and core drill penetrations for piping passing through walls, bulkheads, floors, etc.
  • Fabricate, cut, groove, and/or fuse piping when necessary on the jobsite.
  • Cut and thread pipe to specifications using a power machine.
  • Coordinate installation with other trades, avoiding obstructions.
  • Utilize necessary tools for proper installation, including hand tools, ladders, lifts, drills, saws, and any tool necessary for a complete installation.
  • Assemble and install piping according to NFPA and reasonable industry standards.
  • Install fire pumps, jockey pumps, controllers, and compressors.
  • Inspect, examine, and hydrostatically test fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 3-5 years of proven success in performance of sprinkler inspection, installation, and service is highly preferred
  • Fluent in back-flow, wet and dry systems, fire pump, alarm device terminology
  • NICET I Certification or Equivalent within 24 months from date of hire
