We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Operations Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of our heavy earthmoving fleet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality in our workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Workshop Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Manage Work in Progress: Monitor and control work in progress to ensure that it is completed in line with execution expectations.
- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Manage Employee Health and Safety: Ensure that all employees in the workshop are working in a safe and healthy environment, and that all safety procedures are followed.
- Strategic Focus on Customer Growth: Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and grow our customer base in the region.
- Sound Understanding of Budgets and P&L: Have a solid understanding of budgets and profit and loss statements, and be able to manage the workshop budget effectively.
- Good Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Track Record in Building Strong Teams: Have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, and be able to motivate and inspire employees to achieve their best.
- High Focus on Customer Service: Be committed to delivering exceptional customer service, and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Must be Trade Qualified: Hold a trade qualification relevant to the mining and maintenance sector, and have significant post-trade experience with heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Must have Management Experience: Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in management roles or senior maintenance positions, and be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Valid Australian Drivers' Licence: Hold a valid Australian 'C Class' drivers' licence.
