About Our Hospital
Northern Beaches Hospital is a world-class healthcare facility providing Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, and state-of-the-art facilities including cardiac catheter labs.
Our hospital offers a wide range of services, from cardiothoracic surgery to luxury maternity care. We have a team of leading clinical specialists and are committed to training the clinicians of the future through our partnership with Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences.
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and clinically experienced nurses to join our professional Emergency team at Northern Beaches Hospital. You will work in world-class facilities with access to state-of-the-art equipment, including EMR and MEDCHART systems.
The Emergency Department is located on the ground floor, providing 24/7 care to residents and visitors of the Northern Beaches community. The unit comprises of 50 beds and treatment spaces, divided into zones including Paediatrics, Short stay, Adult acute assessment, Resuscitation, and Mental health assessment.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients/their families and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
- Coordinate and provide hands-on nursing care; supervision, education, direction, and support for Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN).
- Provide support and guidance to nursing peers and patients for the management of their health care, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
- Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Requirements
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or working towards)
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills
