Our hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, and 14 state-of-the-art theatres, including cardiac catheter labs. We have a world-class education centre, doctors' lounge, and excellent staff facilities, including a café and car parking.
About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and clinically experienced nurses to join our Emergency team at Northern Beaches Hospital. You will have the opportunity to work in a young, friendly, and open environment with diverse and friendly teams. You will be utilizing state-of-the-art equipment in world-class facilities, including EMR and MEDCHART systems.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and health outcomes.
- Coordinate and provide hands-on nursing care, supervision, education, direction, and support for Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
- Provide support and guidance to nursing peers and patients for the management of their healthcare, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.
- Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Essential Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA.
- Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or working towards).
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well independently and within a team.
- Basic computer skills.
