Job Overview

The Senior Advisor, Governance, Policy, Risk role plays a key part in leading an integrated approach to governance, policy, risk, and compliance across the organisation. This includes effective stakeholder engagement, regulatory and internal policy compliance, and promoting risk-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement systems and processes that support timely compliance and operational effectiveness.
  3. Enable officers across the organisation to meet internal obligations and policy requirements efficiently.
  4. Risk & Compliance Oversight
  5. Identify and manage risks that may impact the organisation's ability to meet strategic objectives.
  6. Address compliance issues and support enterprise-wide risk management practices.
  7. Utilise a range of information sources to support risk-based planning, reporting, and decision-making.
  8. Data Analysis & Reporting
  9. Provide data analysis and visualisation to support GPRC initiatives.
  10. Use data to inform strategic reporting, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
  11. Policy Development & Review
  12. Review policy documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
  13. Contribute to the ongoing development of governance frameworks and internal policies.
  14. Support communication and training strategies to embed policy awareness and compliance.
  15. Documentation & Strategic Advice
  16. Prepare governance, policy, risk, and compliance documents.
  17. Provide advice and analysis on emerging issues and trends in governance, risk, compliance, and policy.
