Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Aircrew Officer to enhance our Aviation & Critical Services team, providing vital support for operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure flying currency and execute safe flight operations in accordance with aviation regulations, contractual obligations, and company protocols;
  • Promptly report any operational and maintenance issues;
  • Complete necessary pre-flight and post-flight documentation;
  • Effectively communicate with aircrew, client personnel, health staff, the public, and stakeholders;
  • Operate safely and efficiently within a small team setting;
  • Assist the medical team as required, within your capabilities;
  • Provide precise visual observations and information to the Pilot regarding flight-related data, including clearances, personnel movements, and safety concerns;
  • Maintain readiness of operational equipment;
  • Perform the role of Aircrew Officer/Winch Operator during HEMS and SAR missions;
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance and inspection of base and operational equipment;
  • Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight care;
  • Ensure the security and proper configuration of cabin and equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 500 hours of rotary wing experience as an ACO;
  • Experience and endorsement in winching/rappelling;
  • Current HUET/HUET & EBS certification;
  • Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation qualifications;
  • DG Aware or DG Pack and Accept Air certification;
  • Experience with NVG hoisting;
  • Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC);
  • CASA Class 2 Medical Certificate;
  • Certificate IV in Aviation (AVI40116 or AVI40119);
  • Compliance with Queensland Health Preventable Diseases Policy;
  • Willingness to relocate.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with Bell 412;
  • Experience with AW139.
