Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Aircrew Officer to enhance our Aviation & Critical Services team, providing support for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure flying currency and execute safe flight operations in accordance with aviation regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies;
  • Promptly report any operational and maintenance issues;
  • Complete all necessary pre-flight and post-flight documentation;
  • Engage effectively with aircrew, client personnel, health staff, the public, and stakeholders;
  • Operate safely and efficiently within a small team setting;
  • Assist the medical team as needed, within your capabilities;
  • Provide accurate visual observations and relevant flight data to the Pilot, including clearances and safety-related information;
  • Maintain readiness of operational equipment;
  • Perform the duties of an Aircrew Officer/Winch Operator during emergency medical services and search and rescue missions;
  • Assist with the maintenance and inspection of base and operational equipment;
  • Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight care;
  • Ensure the security and proper configuration of cabin and equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 500 hours of rotary wing experience as an Aircrew Officer;
  • Experience and endorsement in winching/rappelling;
  • Current HUET/HUET & EBS certification;
  • Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation qualifications;
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness or Dangerous Goods Packing and Acceptance certification;
  • Experience with NVG hoisting;
  • Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC);
  • CASA Class 2 Medical Certificate;
  • Certificate IV in Aviation (Aircrewman or Aircrew Officer);
  • Compliance with the Queensland Health Preventable Diseases Policy;
  • Willingness to relocate.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with Bell 412 aircraft;
  • Experience with AW139 aircraft.
