Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Aircrew Officer to enhance our Aviation & Critical Services team, contributing to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure flying currency and execute safe flight operations in accordance with aviation regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies;
  • Promptly report all operational and maintenance issues;
  • Complete necessary pre-flight and post-flight documentation;
  • Engage effectively with aircrew, client personnel, health staff, the public, and stakeholders;
  • Operate safely and efficiently within a small team environment;
  • Support the medical team as needed and within your skill set;
  • Provide precise visual observations and relevant flight data to the Pilot, including clearances and safety-related information;
  • Maintain readiness of operational equipment;
  • Perform duties as an Aircrew Officer/Winch Operator during HEMS and SAR missions;
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance and inspection of equipment;
  • Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight care;
  • Ensure the security and proper configuration of cabin and equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 500 hours of rotary wing experience as an Aircrew Officer;
  • Endorsement and experience in winching/rappelling;
  • Current HUET/HUET & EBS certification;
  • Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation qualifications;
  • DG Aware or DG Pack and Accept Air certification;
  • Experience with NVG hoisting;
  • Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC);
  • CASA Class 2 Medical Certificate;
  • Certificate IV in Aviation (AVI40116 or AVI40119);
  • Compliance with Queensland Health Preventable Diseases Policy;
  • Willingness to relocate.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience with Bell 412;
  • Experience with AW139.
