We are seeking an experienced Aircrew Officer to enhance our Aviation & Critical Services team, providing vital support for operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure flying currency and execute safe flight operations in accordance with regulatory, contractual, and company standards;
- Promptly report all operational and maintenance issues;
- Complete necessary pre-flight and post-flight documentation;
- Engage effectively with aircrew, client personnel, health staff, the public, and stakeholders;
- Operate safely and efficiently within a small team setting;
- Assist the medical team as required, within your capabilities;
- Provide accurate visual observations and relevant flight data to the Pilot, including clearances and safety-related information;
- Maintain readiness of operational equipment;
- Perform duties as an Aircrew Officer/Winch Operator during HEMS and SAR missions;
- Assist with the ongoing maintenance and inspection of base and operational equipment;
- Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight care;
- Ensure the security and proper configuration of cabin and equipment.
- A minimum of 500 hours of rotary wing experience as an ACO;
- Endorsement and experience in winching/rappelling;
- Current HUET/HUET & EBS certification;
- Senior First Aid and Advanced Resuscitation qualifications;
- DG Aware or DG Pack and Accept Air certification;
- Experience with NVG hoisting;
- Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency (AROC);
- CASA Class 2 Medical Certificate;
- Certificate IV in Aviation (AVI40116 or AVI40119);
- Compliance with Queensland Health Preventable Diseases Policy;
- Willingness to relocate.
- Experience with Bell 412;
- Experience with AW139.
