The role of Assistant Chief Radiographer presents a unique opportunity for an experienced radiographer to take on leadership responsibilities within the Medical Imaging Department.
This position requires collaboration with radiologists and other stakeholders to manage the day-to-day operations of the department, while also driving the development of an integrated continuing professional development and quality program.
- Key qualifications include current AHPRA registration as a Radiographer, recent clinical experience, and postgraduate studies relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a multimodality imaging department and knowledge of RANZCR Accreditation guidelines and ACHS standards are essential.
- Leadership skills, motivation, and advocacy are crucial in this role, along with sound conflict resolution and staff performance management abilities.
- Department Leadership:
- Support the Chief Radiographer in managing the Medical Imaging Department.
- Develop and implement standardised operational and business rules for the department.
- Quality and Continuing Professional Development:
- Lead the development of an integrated continuing professional development and quality program.
- Ensure the program meets professional requirements and recognised accreditation standards.
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Build strong relationships with radiologists and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and teamwork skills.
