Role Summary

As a senior civil engineer, you will play a key role in leading multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver innovative solutions for our clients.

">

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utilities design and a strong track record of managing utility relocation projects.

">

You will work closely with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design and provide technical advice to project team members.

">

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.

">

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Manage utility relocation designs with civil/structural designs to resolve clashes and design relocations;">
  • Lead 3D modelling, coordination and clash detection of utilities in appropriate software (e.g. Civil 3D, 12D, Navisworks etc);">
  • Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design;">
  • Provide technical advice to project team members;">
  • Confirm relevant authority requirements, standards, specifications and procedures to the design scope of works;">
  • Liaise with relevant utility authorities to manage and coordinate approvals;">
  • Assist with the management of sub-consultants/specialist utility designers;">
  • Review of, and ensuring compliance with, the components of the project for which we are responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications and studies and the interfaces with other disciplines; and">
  • Guide the technical development of junior engineers in the utilities discipline area.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • A tertiary qualified engineer with extensive experience in utilities design;">
  • Relevant engineering degree and chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation advantageous;">
  • Experience designing Sydney Water infrastructure and Water Servicing Coordinator (WSC) accreditation with Sydney Water advantageous;">
  • Relevant post-graduate experience, including supervising aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge;">
  • Demonstrated experience in managing utility approval processes for major utility relocation and protection designs on infrastructure projects;">
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally;">
  • Experience of working in multi-discipline design and/or project teams.">
