About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled mental health professional to join our community mental health team, working with older adults and their families.

The Bathurst Older Adults Mental Health team is a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinicians from nursing, social work, psychology, occupational therapy, and psychiatry backgrounds, with support from dietetics and other allied health disciplines.

The team meets daily to review new referrals and plan the day's activities. Clinicians will conduct mental health assessments, provide therapy, and develop care plans to improve mental wellbeing for older adults and their families.

The successful applicant will work closely with the team leader, clinical leader, and wider team. They will also be linked with a clinical supervisor and professional mentor to support their professional development.

The successful applicant will engage in a comprehensive clinical and operational orientation to the role, including the development and implementation of an individualized professional development pathway. This plan will include the core skills required to undertake the role and the individual's own developmental interests in older adults mental health.
