">The successful candidates will be part of a large-scale operation involving numerous polling places across Western Australia. Their primary responsibilities will include managing personnel, ensuring adherence to electoral procedures, and supervising staff at polling locations.
">About the Roles
">- Polling Place Supervisor: Oversees the operations of a polling place, ensuring that electoral procedures are followed and staff are supervised.
- Assistant Presiding Officer: Assists the Polling Place Supervisor as needed, helping with personnel management, election resources, and polling place administration.
- Declaration Officer: Issues declaration votes on polling day to electors not registered in the relevant district.
- Early Presiding Officer: Manages personnel, election resources, and polling places during the early voting period, ensuring that electoral procedures are followed and staff are supervised.
- Early Assistant Presiding Officer: Assists the Early Presiding Officer as required, helping with personnel management, election resources, and polling place administration.
- Early Issuing Officer: Issues ballot papers to electors using the Elector Recording System (ERS) during the polling period and assists with counting and reconciliation operations.
- Early Counting Officer: Reconciles and counts ballot papers on election night.
- Assistant Returning Officer: Conducts counts, trains officers, and records results, while also managing scrutineers and ballot papers.
- Mobile Presiding Officer: Manages mobile polling at aged care facilities, hospitals, airports, and other locations, ensuring that electoral procedures are followed and staff are supervised.
- Mobile Issuing Officer: Issues ballot papers and assists the Mobile Presiding Officer as needed.
- Remote Presiding Officer: Manages remote polling in Aboriginal communities, ensuring that electoral procedures are followed and staff are supervised.
- Remote Issuing Officer: Issues ballot papers and assists the Remote Presiding Officer as needed.
