Senior Professional Liability Specialist

At a leading insurance practice, we are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our dynamic team in Sydney. With around 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), the successful candidate will gain exposure to complex general insurance and litigation matters.

  • Manage high-value coverage disputes for professional institutions, financial institutions, corporate service providers, directors and officers (D&O), and provide clear written advice to clients.
  • Defend professional liability claims, monitor claims in other jurisdictions, and pursue subrogated recoveries.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' defendant insurance experience from a reputable insurance team/firm
  • Ability to run with matters autonomously with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Desire to manage and mentor more junior lawyers in the team
  • Methodical and organized approach to file management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
