Property Lawyer Job Description

As a Property Lawyer, you will play a key role in managing conveyancing and property settlements across Victoria. Your responsibilities will include preparing, negotiating and reviewing commercial leases, agreements for lease, licences and related documents.

You will have the opportunity to draft and review contracts of sale and related documents (including caveats and s27 statements) for residential and commercial properties. Additionally, you will be responsible for lodging plans through the SPEAR platform and conducting legal research and advising on a broad range of property-related matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Lawyer looking to build on their skillset with complex and interesting deals. You will have direct access to Partners and senior Lawyers, and the benefit of strong secretarial support.

About the Role

This full-time role is available for a Lawyer with at least 2 years' post-admission experience in property law. Our clients are at the centre of everything we do, so your commitment to providing exceptional client service will be of great importance.

To complement your strong legal skills, you will be someone who has excellent verbal and written communication skills, a commercial mindset, and works well both in a team and autonomously. You will be someone who enjoys problem-solving, demonstrates sound judgement, and has strong file management and organisational skills.

Requirements
  • Admitted lawyer with at least 2 years' post-admission experience in property law
  • Strong legal skills and knowledge of property law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commercial mindset and ability to work well in a team
