About the Role

We are seeking a skilled truck mechanic with leadership experience to join our team as a Truck Workshop Manager in Botany, NSW. This role offers an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position in a bustling workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guide a team of 15 mechanics to ensure efficient operations.
  • Allocate tasks to mechanics and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct quality control checks on all work coming out of the workshop.
  • Liaise with customers to manage invoicing.
  • Negotiate with manufacturers on behalf of the company.
  • Perform hands-on mechanical tasks as needed (approximately 20% of the role).
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a qualified truck mechanic.
  • Desirable: Experience with Mercedes Benz, Fuso or Freightliner Trucks.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is essential.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
  • Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm + Saturday roster.
