Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team in Western Sydney. This role involves conducting building and property inspections, overseeing various work types, programs, projects, and building-related maintenance activities for a large portfolio of residential properties.

About the Role

This is a Monday to Friday rostered position available for a 3-month duration. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer service experience while observing regulatory, quality, and safety obligations and meeting service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnose defects.
  • Coordinate approved repairs and maintenance matters efficiently and within agreed timeframes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Resident Services team to ensure upkeep of properties within the portfolio.
  • Effectively monitor contractors' performance against service level agreements, expectations, and compliance with internal, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out general administration duties as required, such as preparing letters, reports, contract management, office estimating, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent) complemented by demonstrable experience and knowledge in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working safely.
  • Experience in office estimating, report costing, and contract management.
  • Ability to deliver customer service in a complex environment with clients of varying backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and organize own workload, establish priorities.
  • Demonstrated communication skills at a high level, including written skills, cultural sensitivity, listening, and interviewing.
  • MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Builder/Supervisor's license (desirable).

Estimated Salary: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum.
