  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Mechanical Fitter to perform mechanic repairs and preventative maintenance on vehicles, plant, and mobile equipment.
  • Responsibilities will include ownership of repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and meeting tight schedules whilst upholding high-quality standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrain, brakes, and suspension, as well as the ability to work flexible hours and possess full working rights within Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles, plant, and equipment
  2. Identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems
  3. Coordinating with suppliers to source parts at quality and best price
  4. Developing and implementing effective repair and maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years + experience in a repair and maintenance role
  • Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions
  • Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension
  • Ability to work flexible hours
