About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a skilled Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional client service and thrive in a people-focused, solution-oriented environment.

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Bookkeeper to play a vital role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to our clients. As part of our collaborative team, you will manage financial records using automation tools and ensure accuracy in all transactions.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within an accounting firm or bookkeeping business. Proficiency in Xero and MYOB, with experience using automation tools such as Hubdoc, Lightyear, and Dext, is essential. In particular, we are looking for someone with experience handling conversions to Xero Business products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client-Focused Bookkeeping: Manage financial records using automation tools (Hubdoc, Lightyear, Dext) and ensure accuracy in all transactions.
  • Payroll & Compliance: Process payroll and manage STP reporting, superannuation, and other employer obligations.
  • Accounts Management: Handle accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Reporting: Prepare clear and accurate financial reports to help clients drive their business forward.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, ideally within an accounting firm or bookkeeping business.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Xero and MYOB, with experience using automation tools such as Hubdoc, Lightyear, and Dext.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively within a team.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of accuracy in managing financial data and reporting.
