Job Description:

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced and qualified adult social worker to join our busy community team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring an allocated workload within individual and group priorities, adhering to council policies and statutory obligations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Social Work Delivery
    • Assess the need for social work services, identify risks and the need for protection, determine intervention methods, and advise on appropriate social services and resources.
    • Liaise and negotiate with other professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure the best possible service for clients.
  • Administrative Support
    • Maintain appropriate records of work undertaken and carry out required administrative procedures.
  • Professional Development
    • Prepare for and attend supervision sessions and staff meetings, and make use of all available training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
