Commodity Trading Career

We are seeking a driven and analytical Commodity Trader to join our global trading team. This role supports the Senior Trader and provides exposure to international commodity markets while developing skills to progress into a full trading position.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the Senior Trader with daily market activities, trade execution, and data entry.\
  • Monitoring and reporting on market developments, pricing trends, and grower sentiment.\
  • Assisting in understanding container and bulk export pathways, freight rates, and arbitrage opportunities.\
  • Maintaining accurate records, including trade entries and daily profit/loss tracking.\
  • Liaising with supply chain stakeholders to optimize export options.\
  • Participating in team and global market meetings.\

Requirements and Qualifications:

  2. A tertiary degree in Economics, Finance, Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related discipline.\
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.\
  4. Clear written and verbal communication skills.\
  5. Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.\
  6. Independent thinker with a collaborative mindset.\
  7. Interest in agricultural commodities and markets.\
