Job Opportunity: Commodity Trading Specialist

This is an exciting chance for a skilled professional to take on a challenging role in commodity trading.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commodities and be responsible for developing and implementing trading strategies to maximise supply chain efficiencies.

  1. Collate and Interpret Market Data: Gather and analyse market data to inform trading decisions.
  2. Hedge Risk and Achieve Objectives: Develop and implement hedging strategies to manage risk and achieve business objectives.
  3. Foster Relationships and Grow the Business: Build relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and market participants to grow the business and execute strategy.
  4. Negotiate Contracts and Manage Logistics: Initiate, negotiate, and agree on terms of commodity purchase/sales contracts, bulk ocean freight contracts, and work through execution with the logistics team.

The ideal candidate will possess a working understanding of both the Australian grains industry and international trade flows, as well as a demonstrated ability to turn analysis into strategy and strategy into action.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced trader who can lead our team and drive high standards, while also being able to work autonomously when required.
