Our client, a key contributor within the State Government, is seeking an experienced professional for an initial 6-month contract to join their Corporate Services team as a Human Resources Officer. This pivotal role will see you delivering high-quality, customer-focused payroll services while providing valuable support across a broad range of HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll within agreed timeframes, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel and payroll records in line with legislation, industrial instruments, and policies.
  • Provide timely and effective payroll advice to managers and employees, responding promptly to queries and concerns.
  • Support reporting requirements, both scheduled and ad hoc, to ensure seamless communication and transparency.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build effective relationships and foster a culture of collaboration.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRMIS) for payroll processing and management.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant acts, awards, agreements, regulations, and policies, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • The ability to prioritize, organize, and complete tasks with minimal supervision, working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Valid qualifications in human resources or a related field.
