About the Role:

The Regional Manager will be responsible for managing, planning, and developing Qube Bulk's Mining Logistics Operations within their region to meet established Qube objectives, particularly in HSE, Operational, and Financial areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the compliance of health, safety, and environmental obligations and requirements
  • Manage customer, quality assurance, and documentation requirements
  • Develop, implement, and execute the Regional Business Plan
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities to line managers and superintendents
  • Manage operational cost performance, including budget development and performance target achievement
  • Assist with future regional projects, including opportunity identification, operational design, and execution plans
  • Liaise with customers, regulatory authorities, and suppliers to promote Qube Bulk positively
  • Provide timely and accurate data input and reporting to the General Manager on regional operational performance and business development

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Broad knowledge of the Mining Logistics, trucking/bulk haulage/port sector, with in-depth knowledge of mobile fleet and associated equipment
  • Operations management experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry
  • Track record managing a business unit of similar scale, setting and delivering a budget, leading a similar-sized team, negotiating an employee agreement, and managing an operation safely
  • Commercial and contract management skills
  • Budget and business P&L accountability experience
  • Prior exposure to safety culture in resources/oil & gas & Logistics sectors
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing and developing employees, ideally gained in a ports, Mining, logistics, or heavy industry environment
  • Diploma in Business, Logistics, or related area, equivalent or greater
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with various people
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point
