Energy Transition Specialist

This is an exciting time to be part of the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action's efforts in Victoria. The state is undergoing a significant energy transition, driven by new technologies, industries, and approaches.
The Victorian Government recognises the need for a modern energy system that supports the economy and way of life - one that is sustainable, reliable, and affordable.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, harnessing State and Commonwealth investment to deliver real environmental and social benefits to Victoria's social housing renters.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects to simplify complexity and take a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Analyse data to inform project decisions.
- An appropriate qualification in public policy, business, project management, environmental management or approved equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in project/program management, government processes and operations, especially in public sector program delivery.
- Understanding of the Victorian energy efficiency sector relating to buildings and the residential/consumer sector is desirable but not essential.
This is a fixed-term position available until September 2027. The work location for this position is Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
