Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Role Available
This is a unique opportunity to apply your professional expertise to manage key projects that advance nursing and midwifery practice and support the strategic goals of the Department of Health.
The role will involve providing senior leadership and strategic policy development for nursing and/or midwifery professional practice across the agency. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve and enhance nursing and/or midwifery policy and practice state-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic policies and standards to support key strategic priorities, workforce development and professional practice.
- Lead the strategic midwifery policy and professional practice portfolio.
- Build and maintain productive networks with internal and external stakeholders to support effective teamwork within the unit.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of nursing and/or midwifery policy/standards.
- Broad and demonstrated understanding of the strategic issues relating to the current healthcare system.
