We're seeking a dedicated Regional Safety Advisor to join our team at the Qantas Group. This role presents an excellent opportunity to develop and implement a framework, policies, and procedures that align with our safety standards.

Your Role

In this advisory capacity, you will work within our regional safety advisory team to manage the development, implementation, and oversight of safety strategy for system, framework, policies, and/or procedures for the Qantas Group QLD and NT business areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, implementation, and oversight of safety strategies within the region.
  • Work closely with business units to ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of a proactive safety culture.
  • Minimise or eliminate injuries to persons, damage to equipment, infrastructure, or the environment.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work comfortably with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in an HSE position and demonstrate a record of delivering improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement safety strategies within a large operational business.
  • Sound understanding of WHS legislation and Human Factors principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with staff, management, and regulators at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to show initiative and flexibility.
